DATA CENTER COMING TO ONTARIO???
The City of Ontario has been negotiating with Chris Hardin of CDH Consulting for the purchase of 66 acres of City owned property for a Data Center. CDH consulting is partnering with Mission West Properties to secure the land needed for a Data Center. After securing this land Mr. Berg and Mr. Hardin will seek tenants to occupy a proposed Data center.
Mission West Properties is headed by Mr. Carl Berg and is a firm that owns more than 100 properties totaling almost 8 million square feet. Mission West leases those properties out to companies like Apple and Microsoft. Mr. Berg has said that the plans call for a facility as large as 200,000 sq ft. Mr. Hardin has been checking out Oregon locations for several years and has made several trips to Ontario to visit potential sites and confer with local economic development officials.
